Keighley Bradford
Keighley Bradford is a Newcastle-based emerging writer and creative industries professional. She is currently studying a Master of Creative Industries (Marketing) after recently graduating from the University of Newcastle with a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Writing & Publishing). In addition to specialising in various styles of creative writing, she is skilled in arts administration, content creation, copywriting, editing, marketing and promotion.
Keighley has always been passionate about supporting the arts community and constantly seeks new ways to continue developing her skills in the creative industries. She currently works and volunteers within the Hunter literary scene through local writers’ organisations and student media publications, presently acting as Managing Editor at Yak Media. Her former roles include being the Founder of the UON Writers’ Club, Volunteers Coordinator of the National Young Writers’ Festival, and Public Relations Coordinator of OPUS Magazine.
Over the years Keighley’s short-fiction pieces have won several awards. Her non-fiction pieces have also been published with Yak Media, OPUS Magazine, and NUPSA UON. While Keighley enjoys dabbling in short sorties and feature articles, her true passion is novel writing. Her debut novel, Once We Were, is a contemporary romance that was recently self-published as her Master’s major project.
