Sip ‘n’ Write – Keighley Bradford
May 30, 2021
Keighley Bradford is a local author, freelance writer, and creative industries professional with a background in arts administration, writing/editing/publishing, and communications/marketing. She is the Founder of the UoN Writers’ Club and current Marketing Manager at IF Maitland. Her former roles include Managing Editor and Promotions Coordinator of the University of Newcastle’s Yak Media, Student Communications Officer for NUPSA, and PR Officer at OPUS Magazine. As such, Keighley’s expertise is crafted from years in writing and editing for print and online media.
Similar to UoN Writers’ Club’s iconic ’Scribblings on Serviettes’ events, Sip n’ Write is an opportunity for attendees to unwind and relax post-festival, to take a moment to bask in the creative energy around them by providing a space to write to their heart’s content. Being in a group atmosphere provides attendees with the opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and to share their work for feedback (optional), much like a writers’ group. Additionally, this workshop will also take you through some editing basics/tips when preparing your work for submission and/or (self)publication, including the importance of following a style guide when producing content for specific publications.
Ticket price includes on complimentary Pourhouse drink voucher for you to enjoy during the session.
Due to the venue, this event is 18+ Only.
Cost: $30 (includes 1x drink voucher at Pourhouse)
